Understanding Stress
What is Stress?
Stress is the body's natural response to any
demand or challenge. It triggers a physical,
emotional, or psychological reaction and can be
both helpful and harmful. Stress is not inherently
bad—it becomes problematic when it's intense,
prolonged, or mismanaged.
Types of Stress
Acute Stress
Short-term and occurs in response to an
immediate perceived threat or challenge (e.g., a
job interview, an argument).
